Mixing 3 explores color interaction as a consequence of movement rather than traditional pictorial blending. Multiple colors are introduced across the surface and progressively overlap through repeated impacts, creating a dense chromatic field in which individual tones remain visible while simultaneously becoming part of a larger structure.

Created during an early stage of Juggling Painting, the work investigates how repetition can mix pigment directly through physical action. Instead of controlling each chromatic transition, the process allows collisions, accumulation, and chance to determine how colors encounter one another. The resulting complexity anticipates later developments in the practice, where the behavior of materials and the accumulated memory of movement become fundamental elements in the construction of the image.
